Jessica (26): In the end it all leads to Harry Potter

Once you look into Jessica's eyes you will never forget them. You see all kinds of things and yet they remain mysterious. This also includes her story that she wanted to share with me in exchange for a necklace. Her life-changing moment is about love, synchronicity and daring to follow signs. After an intense but unhealthy relationship, this beautiful twenty-something decided to only go for a serious, healthy relationship and until then... no more complicated hassle and fully enjoy her single life. Going out with friends or watching movies alone on the couch, her favorite movie being Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

On a Friday evening she goes to her favorite club with friends. While hanging up the coats, she exchanges glances with a boy, one that you are sure the other person feels too. Around midnight he speaks to her: 'what is your favorite film?' Of course, she doesn't have to think about that for a second. He says:... I started that yesterday, which he proves by showing his Netflix account: half a green bar on Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. That evening they go home separately and he sends her a message via social media the next day: when are we going to watch Harry Potter? Jessica, who is still reluctant, especially about meeting at home, holds off for a while, after which the synchronicities start to pile up.

A week later, she and her friends are watching the film The Moroccan Wedding in which a couple falls in love and in which Harry Potter plays a role. Mmmm, crazy she thinks. After the film has ended, they are zapped to a channel where the Dutch national team is playing, and the ladies decide to play for 30 seconds in the meantime. We are good at multitasking. Then he texts: are you coming to see Harry Potter tonight? She thinks back to that exchange... should she accept his invitation? She doesn't react immediately, still cautious but also fully engaged in the game. At 30 seconds you draw a card with assignments that you have to act out. Jessica was assigned to portray... Harry Potter. She feels that look at the wardrobe again. Will she go? While she is considering it, she is randomly zapped again and you can already feel it... the first zap leads to Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. That was her cue. She texts him: what is your address, I'm coming.

Fast forward six months later: she tells us with a glint in those mysterious eyes that she is going to move in together. Because she feels 100% safe, secure and loved with him, as it should be in love. That Harry. He just had to know, then he would probably want a necklace too.
